I am currently working on a visual and ethnographic project on 1970s and 1980s modernist retail and housing complexes in Singapore, in relation to the migrant communities and international labour and travel agencies that occupy these spaces. Specific buildings I am looking at are the People’s Park Complex, the Golden Mile Complex and the Bukit Timah Shopping Centre.
